Peace

Linocut

Edition of 50, hand pulled using oil based metallic ink on A4 Fabriano paper

Each copy signed and editioned

A despairing cry for a ceasefire, and freedom for the innocent lives being lost hourly in Palestine, particularly since 7th October 2023, Peace was my family Christmas card for that year. Unable to feel joyous as the festive season approached, and helplessly desperate to do something - anything - to aid the cause of so many slaughtered civilians, I carved Peace. £10 from each print sale will be donated to Médecins Sans Frontières (Doctors Without Borders) who risk their lives in warzones globally, and who have lost colleagues in the Gaza strip during this most recent and bloody stage of the conflict.

A desperate plea for peace at a time when the western world is turning in on itself, cosying up, celebrating the turning of the year and the return of light in the northern hemisphere.

Peace
£80.00

My 2023 Christmas card design for family and friends, born of a feeling of helpless frustration and sadness at news from the Middle East, and wishing for a ceasefire. The gold ink is because I wanted some kind of hope in the darkness. Even now, the need for peace is stronger than ever.
