Originally intended as a commission piece for Candlestick Press, Playground was designed, cut and printed but never used. As such it stands as a tribute to what I remember of my own days at school, with a cameo by my very favourite teacher, Miss Wendy Stewart. Although the print was never used, I loved the process of making it. Using multiple perspectives to create a more abstract image is a method I don’t usually reach for, so it was interesting to see how it came out. I went through many many different colour combinations before settling on red and blue as my preferred colourway.
