A recent discovery is the joy of snorkelling. With friends, we shuffle into wetsuits and masks, then spend as many happy minutes as possible floating facedown like so much flotsam, just watching the bottom of the sea. I’m captivated by the patterns of light and shadow; the movement caused by water and us passing overhead; the life hiding amongst the foliage, shells and rocks. Sea Floor is a doodle of a memory, of a subject too vast to fit onto one block.
